- Description
- Hariet (an enslaved child of 5 years of age from St. Inigoes) was included on a list of 272 enslaved persons compiled by the Jesuits to plan for the sale that was executed in 1838. Each person is listed in this census with their ages and other information that determined their value as property. Between 1837 and 1838, the Jesuits also noted events that affected the availability of several individuals for the sale.
